The Riverside town of Manningtree is approximately a mile and a half from the property where all necessary day-to-day services can be found including a Tesco Express, a large Co-op supermarket, several pubs and restaurants and a Doctor’s surgery.

Both Mistley and Manningtree have train stations with the latter providing a direct service to London Liverpool Street with a journey time of 60-minutes.

Wix Equestrian Centre is 4 miles from Fairview, hacking to Bradfield beach from Fairview makes a very enjoyable hack and additionally there is a paid for farmland ride of 5 miles in Wrabness, for off road enjoyment.  
For walkers the Essex way is 200 meters from Fairview’s boundary, leading to Bradfield, Wrabness and Harwich. Mistley Rugby Club with its new Club house is located in the Mistley direction of the Essex Way for rugby fans.
